Showcasing over 15,000 plants including native and hybrid varieties of azalea at the prime time of the year, this event will be held from 10am until 3pm with activities both inside and outside the museum. While enjoying a stroll through 40 acres of beautiful gardens, have your botanical questions answered by volunteers from Northwest Louisiana Master Gardeners and the Shreveport Garden Study Club. There'll be quizzes to check whether you're a master gardener, or have a black thumb, if you know your vegetables from your fruits, or even what kind of flower you are. Pop inside to see BLOOM!, the second R.W. Norton Art Gallery sponsored exhibition of local artists focusing on flowering plants and the beauty of nature. This juried exhibition will include 25 original pieces and another separate exhibit of 16 art works completed by local high school students. Don't miss the opportunity to view these original works of art, which will be on display from April 1 until May 15, 2017.
