Reeder, Abner
(1766-1841)

Born in Ewing, New Jersey, the son of John and Hannah Mershon Reeder,
Abner established his shop at 38 North Front Street, Philadelphia, in
1793. Immediately he went into partnership with John McFee. The firm of
McFee and Reeder continued until 1796, when it was dissolved. In that year
Reeder married Hannah Wilkinson, and continued his own business at the
same address until 1800. He then located in Trenton, New Jersey, on State
Street, where he was appointed Postmaster. Reeder later became President
of the State Bank and died in Trenton, New Jersey, on October 25, 1841.
