The great artists were great because they did something that no one else could do; when you see their work, you recognize it as uniquely theirs. But before artists can take that step beyond, into the art that lives and breathes for its audience, before they can make their own unique “mistakes”, they have to learn the craft, and it is the craft of painting that we will be explored in this guided tour.

On the first Saturday of each month, the Norton offers a special tour at 2 p.m. All tours meet in the lobby. No reservation is required, though groups of 10 or more are asked to call ahead. This tour, like all tours and admission to the Norton, is free of charge.
