Associated American Artist: Art by Subscription
|
10:00 am |
More than 75 etchings, wood engravings, aquatints, and mezzotints are included in this historical exhibition featuring works by nearly fifty 20th century American artists whose works reflected the social imagery of America. The exhibit is not only important for the fine works it includes, but because it was the first step in a project, begun in 1934, designed on the theory that possession of a good work of art is the most effective stimulant of art interest among the uninitiated.
